Christina Del Conte, Tuesday, 31 October 2006 The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, the nation’s premier ocean racing club requires a competent, committed and self-motivated person to work in its race management operations. Experience from a previous sailing administration background will be well regarded. The successful applicant will provide skills to the sailing team in both on water race management and shore-based operations and as such will be required to work weekends. The position involves assisting the conducting of the Club’s weekly racing and major racing events such as the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, the Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, and the Audi Sydney Mooloolaba / Mackay Races.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high degree of organisational and administrative skills. Computer literacy in MS Office and database applications is essential. Knowledge of the racing rules is advantageous but not essential for the role.
