Mat Belcher and Nick Behrens in Action
James Kyle, Tuesday, 10 October 2006

Hi Everyone,

We are happy to report that with the release of the latest ISAF World Sailing rankings we are now ranked 4th in the world, our best world ranking since Nick & I started sailing together in late 2004. The ISAF world sailing rankings take into account your performance over a 2 year period, while being able to count your best 7 regattas within the two year time frame. With more points being awarded for class worlds championships, C1 graded events like the European titles and ISAF grade 1 events, such as Kiel and Holland Regatta in Europe. With our medal performances at Sail Melbourne, Holland Regatta & Kiel week this
year: it gave us enough ranking points to steadily improve our ranking throughout the year despite our worlds result. We look forward to using this as motivation to continue our progress to the top and firmly establish ourselves amongst the leaders.

We would like to thank you all for your support and we hope you enjoy being part of our journey towards Beijing 2008.

Take care,

Mathew Belcher
