Nominate Now For 2006 Womensport Rising Star Award

Womensport Queensland is currently seeking applications for the 2006 Sport and Recreation Queensland Rising Star Awards.  The opportunity opened on 1 August 2006 and will close on 31 August 2006 and is being advertised at present in The Courier-Mail.  Each Sport and Recreation Queensland Rising Star winner will be part of a presentation at the 2006 Mazda/The Courier-Mail Queensland Sportswoman of the Year on Saturday 11 November 2006 at the Sofitel.

Please find attached the application form.  Any Queensland female athlete who is on the verge of being at the top of her respective sport will be considered.  The eligibility criteria is included.  Any athlete who applies will be required to have verification in writing of her results from her respective State sporting organisation.
