NAVY UNVEILS SECRET WEAPON - NAVY LIFESTYLE INTERNET SITE
The Royal Australian Navy has unveiled its newest weapon in the fierce battle for trade apprentices today - the Navy Lifestyle Internet site.
Prospective recruits will benefit from this website that uses computer animation to showcase a typical "day in the life" of a sailor on board an Anzac Class frigate.
The Navy Lifestyle website offers prospective recruits a "show and tell" experience that captures life in the Navy on board one of the ships that protect our national interests.
The Navy Lifestyle site utilises 3D animation and flash technology to deliver a truly interactive experience for the user where you can follow a sailor or officer throughout a 24-hour work day on board HMAS Anzac.
The website features over 25 different jobs in the Navy, 12 3D locations aboard HMAS Anzac, and more than 100 video files and interactive events that take place on board. Users can also get an holistic view of what the RAN does throughout the year by viewing the World Map section, which follows the Fleet's activities around the world over the course of a year.
Navy Lifestyle is accessible at www.defencejobs.gov.au/navy web site as well as a number of other areas throughout the Defence Jobs site.
